4th EUROPEAN–CHINESE CULTURAL DIALOGUE

A EMBAIXADA arquitectura foi convidada pelo Instituto Camões para representar Portugal, tomando parte nas conferencias, sendo representada por Albuquerque Goinhas. O CMIA de Tomar será aqui apresentado como um Caso de Estudo de Regeneração Urbana.

O 4º Dialogo Intercultural Europa-China terá lugar no Luxemburgo entre 26 e 29 de Outubro de 2011. O EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) está a organizar em conjunto com o CNAA (Chinese National Academy of Arts) este 4º intercâmbio que contará com conferencias, workshops de artistas e esposições de arte.
O tema principal para esta edição será: A Protecção do Património Cultural e o contributo dos artistas na construção da cidade moderna, dividido em 3 tópicos:

* O Papel dos centros culturais na regenaração urbana
* As Industrias Criatívas como veículo para estratégias urbanas sustentáveis
* Arte e Finanças

EMBAIXADA arquitectura was invited by the Instituto Camões, beeing Albuquerque Goinhas the practitioner Portuguese representant, taking part in the conferences. The Tomar EMIO building will be presented as a case study of Urban Regeneration.

The 4th European-Chinese Cultural Dialogue will be held in Luxembourg from October 26th to October 29th 2011. The European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) jointly with the Chinese National Academy of Arts (CNAA) are organising this 4th exchange upon one main working topic and a series of conferences, artists’ workshops and art exhibitions.
This edition major theme will be: The Protection of Cultural Heritage, and the input of artists in the construction of the modern city and it is divided into 3 topics:

* The role of cultural centres in urban regeneration
* Creative/cultural Industries as vehicle for sustainable urban strategies
* Art and Finance

A OASRS lança, no âmbito do tema central da Temporada#2 - Reabilitação Urbana - Cidades Procuram Pessoas, um ciclo de apresentações de projectos para o qual a EMBAIXADA foi convidada. O programa prevê ainda uma exposição dos projectos apresentados, na biblioteca Keil do Amaral, sede da OA entre 26 de Outubro e 23 de Março.

CONCRETA 2011

A revista PI MAG está a organizar uma conferência no âmbito da CONCRETA 2011, tendo convidado a EMBAIXADA arquitectura, os depA arquitectos e NPS arquitectos a apresentar trabalhos recentes. A apresentação será na EXPONOR no dia da inauguração, 18 de Outubro, pelas 14.30. Estará presente Albuquerque Goinhas em representação do atelier.

XIII BA11 Bienal Aquitectura Buenos Aires

Na sequência do prémio “40under40” a EMBAIXADA foi convidada a participar na XVIII BA11 – International Biennial de Arquitectura Buenos Aires integrando a exposição “New World Architecture Exhibition” que terá lugar no Centro Cultural Recoleta entre 8 e 30 de Outubro de 2011.

City + Design + Evolution

Estará brevemente disponível o livro City + Design + Evolution, que acaba de ser editado pela Landscape Design com autoria de Pedro F. Marcelino. O livro procura fazer um apanhado nos 6 continentes, dos trabalhos mais interessantes de arquitectura paisagista e intervenção na paisagem. A EMBAIXADA está presente na edição apresentando o trabalho do NiangOu Warf, uma parceria com o escritório chinês Standardarchitecture, e que se implanta no Tibete.

City + Design + Evolution the new book from Pedro F. Marcelino, edited by Landscape Design, will be available soon. The book presents a selection of the most interesting and unique landscape design from all around the 6 continents. The Tibet NiangOu Warf project by EMBAIXADA, in cooperation with the china based office Standarchitecture, will be featured in the book.

Neste âmbito acompanhou a actividade desenvolvida durante vários meses, incluindo deslocações a obras em curso e projectos construídos, de que resultou um excelente portfólio. TILE AWARD | Las Vegas – Los Angeles

Cristina Mendonça e Albuquerque Goinhas encontram-se em representação da EMBAIXADA, a acompanhar a comitiva do TILE AWARD numa viagem pela arquitectura dos EUA, que inclui as metrópoles de Las Vegas e Los Angeles. Nesse âmbito estiveram presentes no Sands Convention Center de Las Vegas, a visitar a Deutsche Steinzeug América, na companhia de Jeff Moen.

On behalf of EMBAIXADA, Cristina Mendonça and Albuquerque Goinhas are taking part on the TILE AWARD architectural trip into the USA including the metropolis of Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
